The Degenerate's Digest v.11

The answer to the above graphic is an obvious one. Yes, I am the Lord of Light. I choose the winners, and I make them available to only the most dedicated Degenerate’s through the Digest. Can you see it in the Digest? I can. I see it all through the Digest. Because I put it there. This weekend is the equivalent of loaded nachos. There is everything and anything you could ask for in the sport of College Football. Three different games with Top Ten teams facing off, conference implications, and of course – playoff rankings hanging in the balance. Who will come out of this vicious Week 11 victorious? Look into the Digest my fellow degenerate. For the slate is spicy and full of upsets.

(12) Michigan State vs. (13) Ohio State: Michigan State +14.5

Was the weather delay last weekend against Penn State the only reason Michigan State came out on top? Is this team actually good? Is the Big Ten filled with a bunch of frauds? All of these questions are still up in the air coming into Week 11. But what I can tell you is that Big Ten matchups, especially against ranked teams, are ALWAYS entertaining. This one will not disappoint. I can tell you for a fact that Ohio State is the better team here. I think people are over hyping this Spartan team of late. And in The Shoe? No chance they come out with the victory. However, because of the implications, and the conference matchup, this will be a back and forth game. More than two scores is way too many points here. Vegas, I really question your people sometimes. When are you going to sack up and just put your faith in Joey Digest?

Final Score: Ohio State 34, Michigan State 27

(1) Georgia vs. (10) Auburn: Under 48

The Deep Souths Oldest Rivalry! The Bulldogs and the Tigers are set for a huge showdown in Jordan-Hare. Pretty disappointed this is not a night game, but it will still be a nice afternoon SEC matchup. Two tremendous defenses looking to tear each other’s heads off. This is going to be a very low scoring game, thus the lock. A field goal will likely win it. The offensive abilities from both squads are going to be extremely limited. But the winner will be the quarterback who can get that one extra successful drive. I believe in Jarrett Stidham. I really do. And at home? I have to do it. I can see it, the perfect shake up granted by the Lord of Light right before the final Week 12. The Tigers are going to upset the number one team in the nation, and the Bulldogs run will finally come to an end. Just don’t forget the actual lock here degenerates… War Eagle!

Final Score: Auburn 23, Georgia 21

(2) Alabama vs. (18) Mississippi State: Alabama -14.5

Nick Fitzgerald. Those two words have been on Nick Saban’s mind since Sunday. The game plan is simple. Pressure a mediocre Fitzgerald and force him to make dumb decisions against the number one team in the nation in pass efficiency defense. Alabama is set to be taking up another SEC Championship pending just one more Auburn loss (another reason why I love the storyline for a Tigers upset against Georgia – it would make the Iron Bowl so much more fun). Regardless of the injuries at the linebacker position for the Crimson Tide, they are going to roll the Bulldogs on the road. Look for a second half take over here, the ground game and the defense will prove that Mississippi State just doesn’t have a chance.

Final Score: Alabama 32, Mississippi 13

(3) Notre Dame vs. (7) Miami: Miami OUTRIGHT

Catholics vs. Convicts! Oh man this is going to be a great game. I specifically said early on this season that The U is BACK. And even though I knew they were in fact back, I bet against them last weekend at home and they burned me for it. Just like Coach O burned me for going against him, when I was publicly a big fan. I have learned my third lesson of the season, I am not going to bet against The U again. The Hurricanes are going to TAX THAT ASS this weekend in Hard Rock Stadium. It’s time somebody slowed the Notre Dame hype train. And who better than the convicts! The defense is going to shutdown Josh Adams (finally), and force Wimbush to do something not good, but great on the road. This has Notre Dame snap back to reality written all over it. I actually wouldn’t be shocked if an injury to one of the top guys on the Irish occurs in the first quarter. Not that I’m hoping for it, just telling you what I see in the Digest. I don’t necessarily trust Miami’s offensive abilities – but the home field advantage and the 8 o’clock national broadcast spot will help with the momentum to carry when needed. The U is officially back baby, The U is officially back.

Final Score: Miami 27, Notre Dame 24

(6) TCU vs. (5) Oklahoma: Over 61.5

I am such a Baker Mayfield hater. I really don’t have any reason to be other than the final drive against Iowa State. That drive stuck in my mind like a 90’s alternative rock song that I can’t remember the name of. He’s been a fraud QB ever since, a ‘Johnny Manziel Set to Fail’ QB if you will. Even though he burned me last week against Oklahoma State, I still don’t believe in the man. Maybe this is me just overlooking the fact that he is still in college. And you can’t deny the numbers, he’s been great in his college career - and he has a great shot to win the Heisman. I just know he will be a bust in the NFL. I see it in the Digest. But he will do his thing this weekend against the Horned Frogs. The Oklahoma offense has been rolling, but so has TCU’s. The Sooner’s have been putting up an average of 45 points per game. And the Horned Frogs have put up an average of 35.7. 61.5 is a joke of an over for this matchup. It is going to be a SHOOTOUT, and ultimately, I think College Mayfield will show up for the Bake Off.

Final Score: Oklahoma 42, TCU 35
