The 999 Challenge (on 6/9)

Hot dogs, beer, and baseball. Pretty much a match made in heaven. You sit down to watch a ball game in the park or on your couch and you immediately salivate at the mouth for a salty dog and a cold one. Not many things in this world make sense, but this combo sure does.

I was first introduced to the 999 Challenge in college. For those of you who are unaware, you pick a game to watch (unless you're there), and you eat 9 hot dogs and drink 9 beers in the 9 innings of said ball game.

I personally thought this would not be possible. I mean, taking everything into account - the speed of the game, the rolls, the fill of the beer... it's a daunting task.

None the less, I saw a pack of Kunzler hot dogs on sale at Giant this week (I rarely purchase hot dogs at the grocer). And I was also able to find a prime 8-pack of New England Style top slice hot dog buns (rarely available at Pennsylvania grocer's). So, instead of eating hot dogs for dinner 4 nights this week, I figured lets just have at this 999 Challenge and just crush'em all in one sitting during the Phillies game on Saturday.

The first four went down like water. I didn't even start pumping out content until my stomach started speaking english...

"Hello Joe, I notice you're intaking a large amount of saturated fat, sodium, and alcohol - would you like me to combat these enemies?" No stomach, no - accept them like Eve accepted that sweet sweet apple from satan.

I even got some attention from Katie Nolan once the content came through (shoutout @USSTrashBoat)...

I see you Katie ;)

Like I said in the video - on a scale from 1 to 10, I rate this challenge: Eazy. There was not one moment where I questioned myself. Sure I felt full. Sure I felt drunk. But I kept on keeping on. I would like to repeat this challenge with some of the other Stoop Kids at some point (as I think they may hit some road blocks), but obviously I'll be fine. First time - no problem. Just another win for Joey Bosa.

EVIDENCE:

The people don't ask for Eazy. But sometimes, that's just how it is...
