Yup. Got too cocky. Flew too close to the sun. I forgot who I was for a minute. Hand up, that’s on me.
The slate today is sub par. The best matchup smacks you in the face right at high noon, and then it’s just so-so from there. With that said, we’re officially in November. This is where conferences get decided. People gon’ eat. Line movement has been reverse city leading up to today’s kickoffs - trap after trap after trap. Keep your head on a swivel. Lock the fuck in. But most importantly, don’t forget who you are.
(4) Ohio State @ (3) Penn State: Race to 10 OSU, Under 47.5
What a game. I feel like the Buckeye/Nittany Lion rivalry hasn’t really been much of a rivalry in some time - mainly because Ohio State kinda owns the matchup. Today, Penn State has a chance. Happy Valley will be rocking, and we’ve seen the Buckeye’s struggle more than once this season. Gonna be a defensive battle, one of which I think Ohio State will get the better of first. We’ll see what happens from there.
Final Score: Ohio State 24, Penn State 23
Vanderbilt @ Auburn: Auburn -7.5
Riddle me this. Why is a team that has beaten Alabama, and was 3 points away from beating Texas last week a 7.5 dog to a team who has 1 win in their last 5, and lost to teams like Oklahoma?
You have to blindly take it. I know it hurts, but you have to take it.
Final Score: Auburn 31, Vanderbilt 21
Florida @ (2) Georgia: Georgia -14.5
The world’s largest cocktail party. I don’t mind this game being more of a home game for Florida, being played in Jacksonville. Georgia is still the pick. Have the Gators looked competent in recent weeks? Sure. But Georgia is still the pick. Oh, and in case I haven’t mentioned the pick - It’s still Georgia.
Final Score: Doesn’t matter, Georgia is still the pick.
Texas Tech @ (11) Iowa State: Texas Tech Team Total O21.5
Putting this pick on paper purely pointing to the alliteration potential. Texas Tech Team Total Twenty Two or more. Oh, and the Red Raiders have only scored less than 22 once this season, allll the way back on September 7th.
Final Score: Iowa State 34, Texas Tech 24
PAUSE: Am I losing my mind? I just wrote about (11) Iowa State. Now I’m about to show my love for (11) Clemson. Google, ESPN, FanDuel, everyone showing (11) for both of these teams. Am I having a stroke? Does this happen in college football and I’m just now coming around to it? It’s gotta be some bullshit with conference realignment and how the AP can double up on ranks, right? Maybe I'm an old man yelling at clouds, but you can’t have two teams ranked the same. That defeats the purpose of rankings. Glad I noticed this before the election, just another reason to vote for the right person.
Louisville @ (11) Clemson: Clemson -10.5, Team Total O37.5, Over 62.5
I originally had this game listed for the over only. I then added Clemson and the Tigers total regardless of the reverse movement I’ve seen come in on it. Sometimes you have to have morals. Clemson has kinda low key been one of the best teams in the country since Week One. I’m stunned they have to fight for a top 10 rank at this point. They’ve been boat racing opponents. Louisville barely beat Virginia and Boston College. Tigers by a billion.
Final Score: Clemson 1,000,000,003, Louisville 3
