That’s Vegas to me right now after going 7-1 last week heading into the Conference Championships. They want me deader than dead. Big Kahuna Burger dead. CEO of a major health care company dead. Just the deadest. Tough shit Vegas, I’ve been dead for years. Pass the fuckin ketchup, I’m here.
I usually don’t do so hot during Conference Championships, but this year there’s more to play for. People aren't going to be sitting out, the gimmicks are over. These are essentially playoff games. Isn’t it so sick that instead of 3 football games after today, we get like 20? That’s so sick. You know what else is sick? Off-roading with a brand new Bronco. Not mine, my book keeper's. Did he buy it with Joey Digest picks? Probably. All of this to say, we’re keeping this short and sweet cause I got some wheels to dirty.
(16) Iowa State @ (15) Arizona State: Iowa State +1.5
Don’t get me wrong, the Sun Devils have had a tremendous year, and one that has been a complete rise from start to finish. I just like the Cyclones more in this matchup. I think they have played in more situational football this year that bodes well to their experience when shit is on the line. Hey Siri, play Cyclone by Baby Bash.
Final Score: Iowa State 28, Arizona State 24
Ohio @ Miami (Ohio): Ohio +2.5
What’s round at both ends and hi in the middle?
Final Score: Ohio something more than Miami (Ohio)
(5) Georgia @ (2) Texas: Georgia +3
Everything in my body knows Carson Beck is a bum and this Georgia team is not as good as it probably should be. Exposed to the max. But did you see what Georgia did to Texas a month ago? The only 'team' the Longhorns have faced, and they got absolutely dummied. Man football. Kirby Smart gets the job done today.
Final Score: Georgia 27, Texas 21
(3) Penn State @ (1) Oregon: Oregon -3.5, Over 50.5
Just rooting for fun in this one, along with an emotional hedge - James Franklin can’t win the big one.
Final Score: Oregon 34, Penn State 24
(17) Clemson @ (8) SMU: Clemson TT O26.5, Clemson +2
If you’ve been reading this blog, you know how we’ve been approaching Clemson the later half of this season. If you’ve really been reading this blog, you know we sold off SMU in Week 0.
Final Score: Clemson 34, SMU 21
See you bozo's in the playoffs.
Running Record: (291-260-7)
