What a season. More importantly, what a year for the Digest. Since the infamous coin flip week, 37-13. Truly not a better college football handicapper in the game than ya boy the past 3 months. I can’t think of a more appropriate narrative to introduce tonight’s National Championship game - you all know what’s coming…

Notre Dame has had an incredible run, but as I’ve said the past few weeks, the Ohio State narrative is too strong. Unless Ryan Day or Chip Kelly get way too cute and in their own head regarding the game plan, the Irish’s chances tonight are slim to none. They’re beat up physically, with injuries at multiple positions. The talent level is a pretty considerable difference, especially when you look at potential Notre Dame backups vs. Ohio State starters. The Buckeyes should control this game from start to finish. I’m not saying Notre Dame won’t allow their core team belief to keep it close for perhaps the first half, but Ohio State’s resiliency and willpower to force the country to (maybe) look past the Michigan loss.. that’s the true narrative here.
