Imagine not keeping faith in my picks. Are there stretches where things may look gloomy? Of course. I’m not perfect, nobody is. But have I ever doubted you in the end? Never. Not once. Every single season, I find a way to help me, you, the world. A man of the people through and through. No thanks needed, but you’re welcome.
Another 4-1 week on the year, and we’re coming down the home stretch. This weekend has some great games to offer. And Vegas is looking to pull the run around on each and every one of us. Have no fear. It takes two to tango. I know no matter what the waitress, in this case Vegas, brings - we shall drink it and always be full. Why you wanna give me the run around, Vegas? It’s not worth it. We’re better than you, and we know it!
(6) Florida @ Tennessee: Florida -17
Since their loss to A&M on October 10th, Florida has won every game since by an average of 22.6 points per game. The closest gap being a 16-point win against Georgia.
Since their loss to Georgia on October 10th, Tennessee has not scored more than 17 points.
Uhhh yea, that’s really all you need to know here. You know my thoughts on Tennessee, I’ve been betting against them ever since the Kentucky incident. And Florida is still looking to strut their stuff. I don’t think they are going to end up being in the run for the playoff, but their stars are still looking to shine. The Volunteers are about to get Trask’d.
Final Score: Florida 42, Tennessee 21
(19) Iowa @ Illinois: Under 51
Thick Sack Alert! I actually really like Illinois to keep this one close – so sprinkle the +13.5 and maybe even ML, but I trust Iowa’s defense more than their offense, which is the reason for locking in the under. We haven’t had a thick sack alert in a while, this season has been riddled with overs. But when I saw this line, for this matchup, well-knowing Illinois is playing decent of late, I just can’t resist.
Final Score: Iowa 24, Illinois 21
(13) BYU @ (18) Coastal Carolina: BYU -11
I don’t really love this line, but out of respect for how great this game is, I have to take a side. Both of these teams are just steam-rolling opponents this season. I loved them both up until this week. But thanks to Liberty’s QB going down with COVID (shoutout Stat Man Cam from ‘What’dya Got’ for having the inside info on that HOURS before it was announced by any official source), we get what I think is the best matchup of the season thus far (outside of maybe Clemson/ND). It’s time to take a side, and I’m going with the Mormons. They want to show the committee what they’re made of. Maybe with a solid win today, just maybe, they get another game on their schedule in the coming weeks against say… Cincinnati. Zach Wilson is looking for a Heisman. I’m officially team Cougars.
Final Score: BYU 42, Coastal Carolina 28
(3) Clemson @ Virginia Tech: Clemson -22
I mean, you have to take Clemson here. You have to. For the same exact reason you took them against Pitt last week. Before I copy and paste most of that paragraph here, a quick note. The last game Virginia Tech played two weeks ago, was against Pitt. They lost 47-14. Clemson just hung brain on that same team. Clemson still wants a championship, Trevor Lawrence still wants a Heisman, and for that to happen – the Tigers as a whole need to let everyone know who they still are, and they will.
Final Score: Clemson 45, Virginia Tech 17
(1) Alabama @ LSU: Alabama -29.5
Another line that I don’t necessarily enjoy, but we’ve been riding this wave all season long. You don’t bail until you feel the sand. Don’t question it, just let go and be one with the universe. Whatever will be, will be.
Final Score: Alabama 48, LSU 18
Running Record: (79-59-2)
